Letter of Complaint

Speedy Catalog Service 200 Beverly Road Champaign, IL 61821
Dear Sirs:
Three weeks ago, I bought a 20 11 RoyallY set (Item #996R) from your catalog, which had featured an annual clearance sale at enormous savings. I am enclosing a copy of the $200 money order that I sent to you.
When my father and I unpacked the set, we detected several defects, including a scratched screen and a broken volume dial. Since that was not my fault, I believe that I am entitled to receive a new set.
It was a hardship for me to save part of my weekly allowance for six months in order to pay for the lV, and I would appreciate your help in this matter. Even though it is not an expensive set, and I was getting it at awholesale price, I still feel that the merchandise should be perfect.
Obviously, one of your employees had neglected to do an comprehensive inspection before the lV was shipped to my home.
Sincerely, Arthur Karnes

Letter

…Yesterday our teacher asked us to stay after classes. A basketball star came to us to talk about sport in everyday life. The way he spoke about being a teenager was funny. He said he didn’t like getting up early!…
…When do you get up in the morning? What do you do to keep fit? Would you like to go in for sports professionally, why?

Hi Dear Ben
I got your letter, it’s interesting what kind of star you met, it’s true I’m not that interested in basketball, but it’s fun to play.
I like to wake up early and don’t like to sleep long. I wake up, watch a little TV, and do my daily chores.
I love soccer, playing and watching soccer because it is very interesting and I would love to do that.
Well, my best wishes to you, Marat

How to become a good leader

Being a good leader takes work. It is not hard at all to tell   the difference between a good and a bad boss. Exceptional leaders – those who are respected and admired by their team – have a lot of secret skills that they put to use every day.

Firstly, building relationships – both with your team and your partners – is crucial in leading a team. That means your success depends greatly   on interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence is the ability to recognize, understand, and manage our emotions, as well as understand the emotions of others. It’s a part of how we navigate social situations and then make decisions to  achieve  goals. Several studies have found that a strong emotional intelligence is a top factor for a leader’s success.  According to the research, managers with the strongest emotional intelligence were much more likely to succeed.

Exceptional leaders are ones who regularly remind   employees of the main goal. A team needs to know what they’re marching toward. With a larger vision in mind, their day-to-day work has more purpose.

Great leaders  make sure their daily behavior is a model for their team. They’re reliable (meaning they always follow through on what they’ve promised), they respect people’s time (meaning they don’t make others wait unnecessarily), and they retain a thoughtful, objective approach to problems or issues.
